Evolving, Always — Why EQ Pilates Never Stands Still

We’ve never been a studio that stays still.

Since 2001, EQ Pilates has grown, changed, experimented, refined. We’ve moved four times — each time a step closer to the dream. Our current home is the most beautiful we’ve ever had. It’s also the most expensive. But it reflects the quality of what happens inside.

We’ve always been a solo-first studio. That’s the heart of classical Pilates — one-on-one work where the method truly transforms your body. And we still believe in it, wholeheartedly. We’ll always recommend solo sessions to anyone who wants to go deep.

But we’re no longer gatekeepers.

We know solos aren’t possible for everyone — financially, logistically, or otherwise. And we know that connection, movement, and consistency matter more than perfection. So now, anyone can join us. No barrier, no approval needed. If you’re ready to move, we’re ready to meet you.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed new teachers to our team — each one bringing something rare and brilliant. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. In fact, that’s the whole point of Pilates: you find your teacher. The one who sees you, challenges you, supports you. The one who makes it all click.

Our teachers are handpicked, homegrown, and trained to the highest standards. They’ve gone through rigorous training and countless hours of practice — and they are, without question, the most important part of EQ today. They carry the heart of this place forward, each in their own unique way.

And yes, we love that people feel a sense of ownership here. It means they care. But we care just as deeply about creating a space where every single client is treated with respect — whether they’ve been coming for two weeks or twenty years.

There are no egos here. No hierarchy. Just people moving, learning, and supporting each other. Respect for each other and for our teachers isn’t negotiable — it’s what makes this place work.

This isn’t the same studio it was 10 years ago — and thank goodness. We evolve to keep getting better, not to please everyone.

We know we might not be the right fit for everyone anymore. And that’s OK. We want clients who are mad about us. Who love the way we teach, the way we care, the way we keep changing — always anchored by the method, always guided by integrity.

If that’s you, you’re our kind of person. Let’s keep growing together.
