Pilates for Stiffness & Staying Active
Still got things to do. Let's make sure your body agrees.
You were sporty once. That matters.
If you used to cycle, play sport, or be physically active, your body remembers. That history doesn't disappear. It means you understand how good it feels to move well – and that makes you exactly the kind of person who does well here.

Stiffness is not inevitable
What most people think of as ageing is often just the result of moving less. You move less because it hurts or feels harder, so the muscles that support your joints lose their strength, which makes everything stiffer and more uncomfortable. And so it goes.
Pilates interrupts that pattern.
We work on the deep strength that keeps joints supported and bodies moving freely. Not high-impact. Not a gym floor full of equipment you don't know how to use. Careful, progressive work that your body responds to regardless of age.
Am i too old for this?
Our oldest client is 92.
Whatever age you are, whatever you used to be able to do, you are not too old. You are not too far gone. The only question is how much you want back.
Things are changing and you don't like it
You used to be active. Maybe you cycled, played golf, did long walks without thinking about it. Now something has quietly shifted.
The golf swing hurts. You avoid getting down on the floor with the grandchildren because getting back up is the real problem. The garden isn't getting done the way it used to.
You're not ill. You're not injured. Things are just... stiffer. Slower. Less reliable than they were.
And the advice you keep getting – move more, stay active – doesn't quite help when moving is exactly what's become difficult.
What getting it back looks like
The goal isn't fitness for its own sake. It's the golf course. It's the grandchildren. It's an afternoon in the garden that doesn't cost you the next two days.
Clients who came to us saying they were too stiff, too old, too out of shape now tell us they've stopped thinking about what they can't do. They're just doing it.
